Just before the racing at midday on Saturday 5th June there will be a fun race between some of the sposnosrs of the event. This is looking like it will be a reall spectacle with 2 employees from Higgins, 2 from Greenfields Community Housing, 2 from Braintree District Council and 2 local policeman (oh dear police and BMX!!! some of you will remember a similar spectacle not so many years ago at Coppull!!) Anyway all 8 competitiors will be riding BIG BMX bikes - new on the market and on sale at the national meeting they are BMX bikes with 26" wheels and very kindly supplied by BIG BMX for this race. I am also very please to announce that there will be a BIG BMX in the raffle kindly donated by BIG BMX themselves. So make sure you are there early to see this race and have bought a raffle ticket on your way in.

Following a trip over to Towerlands at the weekend I can now confirm that the majority of the electric hook up points are on hard standing. There was however a caravan with an awning which was held down with weights. There are a few electric hook ups on a separate grassy area but across the roadway from the main electric area and these will be reserved for any tents requiring electric hook up.
If this causes a problem with your booking please let me know via the website enquiry page.
Although there are still 40 electric hook up spaces available, 28 have been booked in one week!
I will be at Derby this weekend, hopefully with a plan of the hook ups for you view who is allocated where.

Club Summer race meetings commence this Wednesday - racing as close to 1900hrs as possible. Everyone is welcome to participate in racing and in staffing these meetings. The cost is £2.50 for members and £3.00 for non members. There will be 17 rounds in total with trophies for riders competing in 9 of the 17 with the best 9 rounds to count for final ranking.
To run these meetings we need:
2 admin staff
2 tuck shop personnel
3 finish line personnel
3 marshalls
2 start hill personnel
1 qualified first aider
Thank you for your continued support and please offer your services whenever you can as we cannot run without the above.

Many apologies but it appears I have misled you with the fee for weekend camping which should be £20.00 and not £25.00. Please accept my sincere apologies and let me know through the enquiry page on the website if you have booked already and we will arrange to refund the difference. |

Hello All
On Line booking for weekend camping at Braintree National is now available with or without electric hook up. Basic camping £20.00 , with electric hook-up £39.00 for Friday from midday to Sunday until after racing. Please click 'Camping booking' in the National menu on the right hand column of this page. This requires an on line payment via paypal and your receipt will be sent to you via email. If you do not have a Paypal account this can be easily set up during the booking procedure. Please print this and present it at the gate of the camp site on arrival. You will then be given an appropriate coloured sticker which must be displayed in your vehicle at all times.
If you require any further information or need to change the details of your booking in any way please use the 'Contact us' form on this website.
If you would like to stay Sunday night, please enquire at the gate.
