Just a quick heads up to let everyone know that the gate will be up and running on Wednesday nights as from this week(14th April) for official club gate pratice sessions,starting around 6/6.30ish till dusk,£1 members,£2 non members,

Please remember full face helmets and gloves are a necessity to participate and preferably long sleeved jersey and trousers.

Carol Redgewell was presented an Award from British Cycling for her Volunteer work, the event was held in Manchester and attended by many famous cyclist such as Sir Chris Hoy, Chris Boardman MBE etc.,  The volunteers Award was also won by Julie Watts a couple of years ago.  

November 2009 also saw the club as runner up of the club of the year.  That’s why all the volunteers in the club deserve a pat on the back and a thank you for all there hard work as we would not have such a great club as we do.

A grant application from Community Initiatives Fund was successful awarding the club £8,750 for electric connect and a further £5,500 from Local committee business case BDC.  We are hoping to have connection complete for the National event, if not shortly after.

Braintree Bmx Club is hosting rounds five and six of the national series from the 11^th – 13^th June 2010. This is a first for Braintree after a lot of hard work from the committee members and helpers. We will hope as many riders and spectators will attend and support our local club.
