Round 5 of the East Anglian BMX Summer Regional series took place at Peterborough Pirates BMX Track last weekend. 37 riders from Braintree Bullets BMX Club made the trip to try and gather more valuable points towards their East Anglian rankings and gain those all important British Championships qualification places. With temperatures topping 90 degrees, the weather was hot but the racing was even hotter.
The7 year old boys’ class saw Braintree’s youngest competitors take to the track. Luke Shriever battled hard all day against local lad Sam Stonebridge and finally settled for 2nd. Club mates Tyler Carter and Morgan Spenner finished 6th and 8th respectively.
In the 8 year old boys Joe Read-Millard and Sydney Allen tore the field apart and battled against each other all day long. In the final Joe took the win with Sydney pushing him all the way in 2nd.
