The Club use to be situated in Silver End but was getting
larger and larger. So the club applied to the council to
build a track in Braintree on a bigger site in 1990. There
use to be a track in Braintree on the site you see today
in the 70’s but over time it closed down.
The club applied for a grant to the Co-Op and won a five
thousand pound grant to start rebuilding Braintree’s track.
All the work you see here today is done by volunteers. Without
them over the years you wouldn’t have a track today.
